The Golf Buddy has target information already preloaded, and the Golf Buddy offers customizable target options that let you add 11 of your own custom targets. With its automatic course recognition, there’s no need for aiming to acquire distance information.
There are currently over 12,000 courses mapped in the U.S. in the included database. The Golf Buddy takes about 3 minutes for the GPS to lock onto the satellites and 2 minutes to bring up the course and hole automatically. The accuracy is found to be within 3 yds on 6 of most long range holes. The shot distance measuring feature shows how far each club is hit. I can recommend the Golf Buddy Pro because of its huge 20,000 course capacity, automatic course recognition, ease of use, great price, and lack of any subscription fee. It is a small, mostly waterproof device that makes golfing exciting again.

The only downside I can think of is that there are not as many courses included on the Golf Buddy as SkyCaddie or iGolf. This should not be a problem so long as Golf Buddy continues adding courses as they have been.
